Abdo Tayeb Natural Bodybuilder

Abdo Tayeb is a Moroccan Natural Bodybuilder and currently training for his first Musclemania show. Abdo talks with Bodybuilding Gold to tell us more about himself, his diet, workout routine and more.

Tell us about yourself?

I’m a personal trainer and fitness model from Morocco. I began my fitness journey at 16-years-old, starting with calisthenics training.

How did you get started with bodybuilding?

After 3 years of practicing calisthenics, I managed to have an aesthetic and shredded body, but not bigger – For that, I started bodybuilding after being encouraged and helped by experienced athletes in my local gym. Over time, I grew to love bodybuilding; it became my passion and I dedicated much of my time to working out. I realized my ambition of sculpting a shredded and bigger physique. This inspired me to give back to the fitness community, becoming a personal trainer in 2013.

Whats your diet like?

Here in Morocco, we have many good, lean foods which are incredibly diverse thanks to the country’s interaction with other cultures and nations over the centuries including Berber, Moorish, Arab and Mediterranean influences. This helped me to create my personal healthy and flexible diet.

What supplements do you take?

Because of my flexible and healthy diet plan that meets my daily needs of proteins, carbs, and good fat – I just take some amino acid that my body needs like Creatine and Arginine.

What’s your typical workout routine?

Monday – Legs / abs
Tuesday – Chest
Wednesday – Rest
Thursday – Back
Friday – Cardio /abs
Saturday – Shoulders /Arms/calves
Sunday – Rest

You’ll be going to your first Musclemania this year – What are you doing to prepare for the event?

I’m currently training for Musclemania Paris in October which will be my first competition. For this, I’m following a specified workout plan to achieve the perfect physique for the show. I have not changed my meal plan at the moment.
